Bye Bye Singapore and Hello America!

Woooh…what a journey! Had a longest day of my life literally! The flight from Hk to Chicago was a killer! 14 hours non-stop, in an economy class seat? and that brat kid who was sitting behind me kept kicking onto my chair. I turned over to scold him twice, making sure he looked into my eyes. I would seriously slap him if I were allowed to. D: Made a correct choice of bringing a book to read, at least something to do throughout the journey. 4 hours to Hk, 14 to Chicago and 3 hours for domestic flight. Shack!

There’s some camwhoring with my partner during the flight.

Colourful push up pop!

I bought this bag of chocolate puffs at 2 USD in HK. Tasty!

It’s quite an experience to travel backwards for 14 hours. On my flight meal plans, it wrote lunch, lunch..meaning, I board my plane at 1230pm in Singapore time, and had my first lunch at around 3 pm. Then sunset at ard 7pm(Singapore time) right? Den, at around midnight (Singapore time), I saw the sunrise!!!! It’s quite funny to see the sunset and the sunrise just within these few hours, so this meant that at (Singapore timing) 1am, the American attendances are serving us LUNCH again! It’s so weird but it’s cool! Hahaha…

Sun setting

Sun rising

The aerial view of America was very cool too! When I was above, US land just stretches across as far as my eyes can take, it’s exciting to spot land after like…9 hours of sky traveling. Beautiful meandering rivers..saw a few Ox-Bow lakes! Awesome.

Americans are generally friendly, but customs checks are wearisome. Oh! Bought McDonalds in Chicago International Airport, the meals here are like mega size—Double filet-o-fish? And BIG mac. Even the drinks are huge..but the main point is, when I open my wallet to pay, I was stunned coz I couldn’t recognized the dollar notes. Panicked quite a while when I realized I didn’t have Singapore dollars, den when I finally understand that I need to pay using USD, I couldn’t recognized the dollar value since they are all around the same colour! Haha..so in the end, I looked rather sheepish..like I’m a retard who dunno how to pay my bills!

Looks like I wrote longer than expected! While, it’s just the beginning and I have to make a few decisions on my own already, trying hard to be independent and to deal with changes all the time.

Foreign land, foreign things, but I like it.

PS: Will update photos soon, sleeping now. :)

  1. Cool, surprised that you really set up a blog now.

Yes, Singapore is one of the 3 smallest city-states in the world, apart from Vatican City and Monaco. Something to be proud of yeah! hehehe XD

And another jab for you again?!
