Yesterday, I have tasted the freshest, sweetest, juiciest and crunchiest apples from Ashford apple orchard! Went for apple picking, which is an activity that is only available during the Fall. It was an amazing feeling to choose an apple, pluck it down, polish it, take a greedy bite and savor the fruit. It was times like this that I wish I could bring back the sweet smell of cider and apples to my family and friends. But there again, it will be silly to ship them back. I thought that we could pick the apples and keep them, apparently, we have to buy what we pluck, but it is okay, because we tried a large variety of apples secretly in the orchard. Haha. Yesterday was a prefect weather for apple picking, although the wind was chilly. The farmer was nice to fetch us using a tractor and the tractor was filled with hay, I was thinking, how nice it will be if I can to lie down, stare at the clear blue sky and fell asleep while doing so…a very typical Korean or Japanese drama scene! Hahah..Oh, I will need a straw hat too.
After that, Julie, Hinds and I went for a ballroom dancing and on our way here we flaunt the spirit of camwhoring, the landscape was really nice and with Julie sunset camera mode, the effects of pictures were really good! =) Will put them up later again..For the ballroom dancing competition, we are quite lucky to get to sit really close to the dancers, it was held in the gymnasium in the EOS ( E.O Smith High School). Julie later told me that it was such a Sweet-Valley-storybook-setting, where many big events will be held in the gymnasium..I don’t read Sweet-Valley ( I am a Babysitters club fan =p), but I totally agreed with her on that. Good to have gone there, we spotted some movements we learnt in the ballroom dancing class…if there were Tango during our stay then, we would have been the best team. Hahahahha.
Lastly, ended the day with a bottle of red wine, it was to celebrate our second month stay in UCONN. Cheers to the rest of the good days to come!
