Hotdog festival

Uconn just need the slightest reason to celebrate something. Today is…well, hotdog festival for Mcmahon Dining Hall. Just a little booth set up with a pretty good selection of hotdogs and root beer float. I had spicy German hotdog and a float, taste good! Something to get excited about during the somewhat mandatory weekdays.

I am heading towards Boston this weekend for a one-day trip. Just throw in any attractions that I should visit!

I miss home, but otherwise, I am doing great!

  1. “Somewhat mandatory weekdays”? LOL.

If I were going to Boston, I’d want to visit all the sites associated with the American Revolution, many of which are on something called the Freedom Trail (source: Wikipedia):

The Freedom Trail is a red (mostly brick) path through downtown Boston, Massachusetts which leads to sixteen significant historic sites. It is a 2.5 mile (4 km) walk from the Boston Common to the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown and is popular with tourists. Part of the Freedom Trail has been included in the longer Boston Harbor Walk. The Freedom Trail is a unit of Boston National Historical Park.

The Freedom Trail was originally conceived in 1958 by local journalist William Schofield. He had been promoting the idea of linking important local landmarks with a pedestrian trail since 1951.

    Official trail sites

    Boston Common
    Massachusetts State House
    Park Street Church
    Granary Burying Ground
    King’s Chapel
    King’s Chapel Burying Ground
Benjamin Franklin statue and former site of the first public school, Boston Latin School
    Old Corner Bookstore
    Old South Meeting House
    Old State House
    Site of the Boston Massacre
    Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market
    Paul Revere House
    Old North Church
    Copp’s Hill Burying Ground
    USS Constitution
    Bunker Hill Monument

Or you could go to a baseball game at Fenway Park, one of the oldest stadiums in America. Of course, you may just want to know where to go shopping. Can’t help you there!
